I am a licensed clinical social worker with a private psychotherapy practice for people who live in New York or New Jersey. I am a graduate of the Hunter College School of Social Work and have trained at the Ackerman Institute for the Family in couple’s and family therapy, as well as post-graduate  training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at New York University. Before going into private practice I worked at The Callen-Lorde Community Heath Center with adolescents and young adults, most of whom identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer and many who were HIV+. I am also a former trainer and clinical associate with the Gender and Family Project in New York City.

Before becoming a psychotherapist I worked for many years as a community and labor organizer in different cities around the country. I also received an MFA in creative writing from Sarah Lawrence College. My clinical approach is informed by my background doing social justice work and as a writer.
